Hope & Loss

She described it in one sentence, and no one has improved on it since.
"HOPE AND LOSS is a giant crucifix of canvasses covered with losing lottery tickets, overlaid with the words 'Hope' and 'Loss.'"
Each panel is faced edge to edge with spent scratch cards and carries its own small cross of letters — HOPE running down, LOSS running across, sharing the O. Assembled on the wall, many small crosses make one large one. There is also a Braille inscription worked into the surface, which she catalogued herself and which the estate is still reading.
