Over four hundred paintings.
Ten editions open.
Barbara Romain showed for almost four decades — at galleries, museums, San Francisco City Hall, and an exhibition hall in Cologne. She left an archive that the estate is still cataloguing. The majority of it has never been for sale. What is available now is a small, curated release.

COLLECTING BARBARA ROMAIN
How the work leaves the estate.
Certain corners of the art world already knew Barbara. Galleries, museums, San Francisco City Hall, a rehabilitation hospital in Pennsylvania, an exhibition hall in Cologne — more than a hundred exhibitions across thirty-seven years. What almost nobody got was the chance to live with one. Forty-one paintings are in private hands. Everything else has been waiting.

LIMITED ESTATE EDITIONS
Twenty-five, and then never again.
Each Estate Edition is printed once, at the size she painted it, on archival paper by a fine-art press in Santa Barbara. The Estate handstamps and numbers every sheet and signs the Certificate of Authenticity. When the twenty-fifth print goes, the file is retired.
