TEACHING/ ART OPTIONS

Columbia College Hollywood, School of Film & Television is located in Tarzana, California.  Romain has taught there since 1992 and is a Professor in the Department of Visual Art & Design.
 

Art Options is a unique interdisciplinary arts education program founded in 1992 by Barbara Romain and Mira Lani Bernard. Serving “High risk” teenagersfrom a variety of alternative high schools and programsin its beginning at the Museum of African American Art, the program expanded to include drop outs, young children, seniors and other under-served populations at a variety of locations including the Los Angeles Theater Center and La Cassa.  Since that time, Art Options has created anthologies, art exhibits, theater productions and numerous workshops serving hundreds of Los Angeles students.”
