Barbara Romain (1948–2024) was a Philadelphia-trained, Los Angeles–based painter. Over thirty-seven years her work was shown in more than a hundred exhibitions across the United States and Europe, including the Philadelphia Museum of Art in the National Exhibits by Blind Artists exhibition, October 2004; the de Young Museum, San Francisco; and Kunst im Stapelhaus, Cologne. She called her mature body of work “visual music.” These prints are released under authorization of the Estate of Barbara Romain.

Estate Edition dimensions refer to the visible artwork area plus a 2” border. Estate Editions are produced in their native size with oversized archival borders designed for museum-style presentation and framing.

Each Estate Edition is an archival pigment print on Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308 gsm, a 100% cotton museum rag, printed by a fine-art press in Santa Barbara, California. Produced to order with oversized museum borders, blind-embossed with the seal of the Estate of Barbara Romain, signed by the estate custodian and hand-numbered. Includes a Certificate of Authenticity and provenance documentation.
Ships unframed in an archival tube. Allow 3–4 weeks for delivery; insured shipping included.

Each Estate Edition is produced directly from the Barbara Romain Estate archive and accompanied by estate-issued authentication documentation verifying the work’s origin, edition classification, and archival production details.

Estate Editions and all custom-framed or made-to-order archival works are considered final sale. Due to the collectible and custom-produced nature of these works, cancellations, returns, or exchanges cannot be accepted once production has begun.
