EXHIBITION HISTORY
2009 — INNER LIGHT: ART FROM THE BRAILLE INSTITUTE, Forest Lawn Museum, Glendale, CA
Tri-colored Platter
Ceramic · 2008
A wall-hung ceramic platter: a coiled rim rippling in loops and curls, and inside it concentric bands spiralling in to a small centre, the surface incised and stippled. Barbara made this the year she was working almost entirely in text and colour on canvas — the same appetite for layered colour, worked in clay and glaze instead. It is the only ceramic work in the archive with a documented exhibition history.
IN POSSESSION OF
Estate of Barbara Romain.
