The Doors, at the scale of a wall.
Barbara Romain painted this one big on purpose, and explained why without a trace of apology: "I like to kind of put my body into the work, because it's hard for me to see small detail. I can more easily do larger gestures — and of course bright color is something I can see more than very, very subtle things."
That is the whole adaptation, stated as method rather than limitation. Scale and saturation were not style preferences. They were what still worked.
