A prizewinner — and for nearly twenty years, nobody knew which painting had won.
Barbara's CV carried a line about a national juried award at Satsuma Gallery with no work attached to it. The gallery's own press coverage names the painting: Royal Flush. Acrylic and collage on a wood panel, four feet by three, a card hand read as a whole way of looking at luck.
