MONOPRINTS

Barbara Romain’s Monoprints collection is a study in intuition, spontaneity, and the tactile conversation between hand, ink, and surface. Created outside the bounds of traditional painting, these works reflect Barbara’s deep interest in process-based art—where discovery, chance, and emotional immediacy take precedence over control or predictability.

Working in the print studio allowed Barbara to engage with texture in a new way. The nature of monoprinting—its one-of-a-kind impressions, its physical layering of ink and pressure—mirrored the unpredictability of her own shifting perception.
